"Bucky Urmanche. Arabesque of destiny "

The State Tretyakov Gallery (Sculpture Park) opens an exhibition of 115-th anniversary of the artist

Exhibition dedicated to 115th anniversary of famous Tatar artist Tanks Idrisovich Urmanche (1897-1990) , is the audience of more than 120 works from the collections of Kazan and Moscow museums and private collections - the State Museum of Oriental Art, the Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan National Museum of Tatarstan Republic, the National Cultural Centre "Kazan", Marjani Foundation (Moscow), Galeev Gallery (Moscow).

Urmanche tanks - the first professional Tatar artist: painter, sculptor , muralist, who worked for the theater. He managed to make a huge contribution to the development of the main types of fine art in Tatarstan, in many ways defined the formation of Tatar fine art in the 1920s and its development during the second half of the twentieth century.

Urmanche Bucky was born in the family of Imam and embroiderers, from his childhood interest in folk art, but because of its origin, was unable to attend art school. As a young man worked as a miner Donbas workers Nadezhdinskii factories in the Urals, a teacher in Tambov, in the First World War he served in Central Asia. Only in 1919 Urmanche enrolled in free art workshops in Kazan and later transferred to Moscow in VHUTEMAS, where he studied sculpture at the A. Golubkina , painting - in A. Shevchenko . Urmanche belongs to a generation of young Soviet artists vhutemasovtsev, to whom in the early 1920s, had the task of forming a new artistic language. Link to the Solovki camp (1929-1933) interrupted his creative biography, but returned to Moscow, Urmanche participated in major exhibitions of the period, the design of the pavilions-Union Agricultural Exhibition. A large contribution Urmanche introduced to the arts and arts education in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, where he lived after the war.

Urmanche In the work occupies an important place poem "Shurale" Tatar national poet, literary critic and essayist G.Tukay . The poem was written based on the Tatar folk tales. Shurale - one of the most popular characters of the national mythology, the occupant, and in a sense, and the owner of the forest. The institute, he studied sculpture professionally, and then nearly forty years, it has not worked. In Kazan, Moscow, Alma-Ata, Tashkent - wherever he worked, he was known as a painter and graphic artist, but not as a sculptor. At the sixty-fifth year of life Urmanche rediscover this form of art. For three decades he has created over 150 sculptures. At all elevations, even some idealization, he created the images always retain their individuality. In general, the sculpture Urmanche distinguish emotion, the wealth of poetic associations, skill plastic composition. Loved the material master - Ural marble, but the most interesting, original works he created in the tree.

Heritage Urmanche has been demonstrated in the Tretyakov Gallery in 2005, when the project "Golden Map of Russia" is the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan. But only now, for the first time in Moscow, Bucky Urmanche creativity exhibited in this fully.
