In the State Museum of architecture. A.  Shchusev will be an exhibition of Italian photographer Gabriele Basilico "vertical Moscow".

Radical changes in the last 15 years going through Russia, has found a vivid expression in the architectural transformation of its capital. Moscow today is a Grand experimental platform. However, very little is known to the world the results of the Moscow "laboratory" — similar processes of transformation in other countries a much wider lit. There is an acute shortage of visual material which represented the transition from a culture of the USSR to the New Russia on all levels  until the formation of a new architectural appearance stolicy@

In the context of such "deficiency" was launched the project "the Vertical Moscow", participation in which was attracted by the well-known master of the city by Gabriele Basilico photo landscape. The project can be considered a springboard for documentary studies metamorphosis of the urban landscape. Basilico chose for my work, unusual camera angles: he takes pictures from the tops of the "Seven sisters", the famous Moscow skyscrapers built in the Stalin era. Choosing such a point of shooting, the photographer wanted to reflect the image of post-Soviet metropolis from the height of the most representative monuments of socialism.
