Today in Moscow Pushkin Museum. Pushkin exhibition opens to the public, "William Blake and the British visionaries" for the 100th anniversary of the Pushkin Museum.

Exhibition within XXXI Music Festival "December Evenings of Svyatoslav Richter "will familiarize the Russian public for the first time to the artistic legacy of the famous English poet and artist William Blake (1757-1827), as well as with the work of such important British artists XIX - XX centuries, as Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Edward Coley Burne-Jones, Samuel Palmer, Aubrey Vincent Beardsley, Johann Heinrich Fyusli, Francis Bacon and Cecil Collins. These artists are in some way perceived the spiritual experience of Blake and embodied it in his writings. The display made etchings, watercolors and tempera William Blake, including "Judgement of Paris", "Newton", "The Apostle Paul and the snake," "Brothers, bent in a bow in front of Joseph," "Damned Soul", "Last Judgement" "Pity," as well as illustrations of the "Divine Comedy" by Dante to the works of William Shakespeare, John Milton, Herbert Spencer. Gathered in one exhibition space, these sites will allow viewers to come closer to understanding the complex designs of the master and appreciate his contribution to the history of art.

Especially for this exhibition, Pushkin Museum. Pushkin and the British Council have prepared a rich, interactive educational program, in which case will be round tables, meetings with the curators of the exhibition and the poet and translator.
