Eugene Chuikova working with objects and materials that surround it in everyday life, but in its projects, they do not become overgrown household meanings. 13 sheets of stainless steel scraps of texts written by nail polish. Letters, derived from his hands, superimposed on each other, repeating several times, transformed into an intricate pattern. Sealing, vacuum, hollow, flicker, layering lines creates a special pictorial texture of the surface. Literally witnessing the transformation of text into a painting.

Apart from the purely formal, optical games, pictures Chuykova work and on the verbal level. On metal surfaces are different phrases selected by the author of the e-mails, SMS messages, posts to Facebook and Odnoklassniki.ru. Texts written in Russian, English and German, which explains the features of the life of the author: Eugene for nearly twenty years of living between Russia and Germany, where she went to study at the Dusseldorf Academy - in her life, communication takes place in three languages. Taken out of context, the anonymous phrases acquire sometimes quite dramatic sense. Frosty patterned spread to the sheet metal "Indecision", "Excuse me, please, I park the Wild" written in silver and gold lacquer, and the "frenzied, savage, on its last legs, thickening on the surface of the red lines create a feeling of tension and drama. So in the painting include live emotions. Sometimes the various pieces of communications intersect, as in "we, as oil /ich hoffe», pushing the different contexts and even different languages. Eugene itself Chuikova writes about his project: "As in classical opera, or live polyphonic dialogue," voices "silenced one another, overlap, and sometimes read are completely random words against indiscriminate Choir».

Using the nail polish as paint and sheet metal as a canvas, Chuikov pieces in their work of women's sensibility and closeness, but rather inherent in men. Graffiti inflicted nail polish - it is both a tribute to Glamour, that adorns and protects the carrier, as armor, protecting against the penetration of personal space. In the previous series, "Purple Triumph and« Dolce Vita Red », Chuikov also used cosmetics - lipstick - to create abstract paintings, leaving the lip prints on canvas. In both cases, the cosmetic acts not only as a female attribute, but also as a tool of seduction, which is used by the market. Fragrance Materials lure first viewer, drawing the attention of an attractive texture. However, in the wasting of these submissions by the market as exclusive, the author finds a lot of fun. "Fast drying" - this is an attempt to stop a moment to catch the tail of the reality dating back to the snatches of conversation, the flow of information - a reality which escapes as rapidly as fast-drying nail polish.
