yesterday at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art has launched a project "Lesnovidenie" in which the first floor of the museum launched a total installation - a magical forest inhabited by spirits and fantastic characters. The author of the project was the creative team of Fire Lady Catherine in the face of the photographer and artist Oleg Pavlovski Fire.
layered composition includes mannequins fairytale characters in the author's costumes and accessories, sculptures made of plaster and papier-mache, photography in frames, caskets, video, volume sets, lighting and sound design. The basis of the exposition consists of unique costumes from the collection of Oleg Fire "Spirits of the forest, as well as photographs of Catherine Pavlovski. Every detail of the project is the manual work of the artist and independent work, and together they form a solid art object.
idea of the project - to recall the intangible component of all that surrounds us, and to show unity and the possibility of co-creation with the world. At the exhibition, visitors can meet with different amazing creatures from the animal world, and familiar from childhood fairy-tale characters and ending with the legendary heroes of our time, such as Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Jim Morrison, Marilyn Monroe and Mick Jagger.
The authors use the technique of multi-object collage, which gives the composition further the scope and depth. Artist's tool can be any subject that takes on new qualities, becoming part of a large installation. Just as the artist puts brush strokes on a canvas, here are superimposed on a skeleton animal figurines, crystal, skull, crown, feathers, chains, and generally anything. This project is distinguished by unusual combinations of objects and textures, new and vintage things, real and fantastic images. Even the curator for the exhibition to be reincarnated as fairytale characters thanks to the special costumes and accessories.
The exhibition every viewer will find something of their own, because all of us do not have enough fairy tales in our everyday life.
Project Lesnovidenie "will last until November 7, 2010.
