Festival in CSK Garage begins today.

Today, September 4 CSK "garage" begins the first Moscow International Festival of Performance. The festival takes place in the exhibition "100 years of performance, coordinated by Klaus Bizenbahom, director of PS1 and MoMA curator , and Rose Lee Goldberg, director and curator of Performa (Performa) .

Festival performance will be a literal illustration of archival and documentary materials of the exhibition "100 years of performance" and for the first time in Moscow will viewers the opportunity to not only see but also to participate directly in the famous campaigns of artists from around the world. The festival will present performance art in a variety of its practices.

«Garage invited all the participants of the Festival performance to lecture, commenting on their performances and the state of performance art in general. This series of lectures - special part of the festival: an explanation of what he saw, dialogue and debate - an important stage in the development of new art in Russia, which is the aim of the exhibition "100 years of performance." The main idea for this exhibition is not a static, finished - it is developing in different directions every time you put up a new location.
