Today, July 21, in the Kaluga Regional Art Museum opens exhibition of paintings by French artist Jacques Hébert. The exhibition is organized within the Year of France in Russia.

Jacques Hebert, an artist from the city of Bordeaux, devoted himself to landscape painting. His style is similar in nature to impressionism, the artist uses pure colors, trying not to mix paints. In an effort to maximize the immediacy and accuracy in the transfer of the visible world, he wrote his works mostly outdoors. According to Jacques Hébert, "work in the open air allows you to ... experience the atmosphere of the environment depending on weather and time of day and try to pass it on film. In search of nature painter traveled many picturesque corners of France - from Normandy and Burgundy in the northwest of the country to Provence and Aquitaine in the south. The exhibition will be presented landscapes in Bordeaux - the square, cathedrals, bridges, and the types of neighborhoods Bordeaux - one of the most ancient cities of Europe. The city with its Gothic cathedral, the broad light streets, big squares and parks is a model of architecture of XVIII century.
