tonight Vkhutemas Gallery opens exhibition Boris Kocheyshvili «Architectural reliefs. The exhibition presents not only the already well-known public works, but also new works by the artist.

In preparation for the exhibition, Boris Kocheyshvili so engrossed in the topic of interaction of the Baroque and constructivism as two fundamental principles in the art that he created a series of architectural reliefs on meter plates. They theme "Baroque and constructivism" is set in the dialogues of architectural buildings Bernini and Melnikov, church plates and a small tin cups, baroque towers and Russian hut.

monumental reliefs are balanced fine and delicate line graph late 1980 - early 1990's, hanging on the stands in the center of the hall. These graphic, in the technique of drawing paper /ink /pen, still never displayed, but certainly deserve attention of the public as being incredibly elegant, busy and complex works of graphic art.

Presents very organically entered in the gallery space, which itself is a monument of architecture, because the building is the first gallery VHUTEMAS constructivist building, erected out of concrete with the use of new technologies of construction in Moscow.
