Today, 26 May, at 17.00 in the halls of the Association "Photo Center" (Gogol Boulevard, 8) will open the exhibition "Metaphysical picture" in memory of AA Slyusareva (November 9, 1944 - April 23, 2010).
The exhibition presents the work Alexander Slyusareva (slusarev), Andrei Kharitonov (besz), Artem Black (viens), Dmitry Muzaleva (dmmuzalev), Vadim Sakhanenko (sohas), Alexander Rudakov (ponos_ru), Daria Artsyhovich (libro_de_arena) and Roman Gushchina (klamm).
metaphysical picture - this is not the established name of one direction in contemporary photography. While this trend quite closely linked with the abstract and minimalist photography, on the one hand, and street-or direct-photography, on the other, it has a number of qualities that allow him to talk about independence. The formal subject of most of these pictures are scenes from everyday life. Place of action - familiar space of an urban dweller. At the same time a metaphysical pictures, in contrast to the abstract, there is no denial of objectivity.
Objects do not cease to be themselves, not only are the lines and spots on the image plane. The metaphysical picture does not seek to produce a vivid first impression, surprise, their first encounter with her audience. At first glance, it is very ordinary. And yet it is able to amaze and inspire. Primarily due to the "other" perspective on familiar subjects. By creating a parallel reality in a flat space print, not destroying this reality, but interacting with it. Due to the flicker values of objects: they also act as real objects, and how characters not fully clear meaning, and how the formal elements to frame compositions. The main space is the existence of the photographic community, working in this direction is the Live Journal, where, and show photos and discuss them.
widely recognized founder and leader of the directions, until recently, was the outstanding Russian photographer Alexander A. Slyusarev. He also gave the term "metaphysical picture" that is used along with the concepts of analytical and surreal picture.
The purpose of this exhibition is primarily a statement of existence of the metaphysical picture as it is formed artistic direction.
The exhibition will run until June 6, 2010 daily, except Monday, from 11.00 to 19.00.
