The State Museum of Art Culture of the Novgorod Land (Veliky Novgorod, Desyatinny monastery, 3a) an exhibition of "The fresco in the space of time. School A. Kuznetsov, dedicated to the 50 th anniversary of creative activity masters.

Anniversary exhibition celebrates the life and work of one of the leading restorers of Russian art - Honored Artist of Russia Anatoly S. Kuznetsova. Artist and restorer of ancient monumental and easel painting was born April 14, 1936 in the village Durovka Annunciation district of the Altai Territory. He graduated from the Moscow Higher School of Industrial Art (1969). Works in the field of restoration of monumental and easel painting from 1958.

Anatoly S. dedicated 50 years of creative activity preservation and restoration of cultural heritage of our fatherland and facilities abroad, is the author of several new technologies restoration of frescoes. The exhibition features works from the collections of leading Russian museums and private collections of master. The concept of the exhibition - School A. Kuznetsov and his disciples.

exhibition introduces a domestic and foreign audiences with a unique view of Russian art - murals and modern methods of restoration. Through the efforts of A. Kuznetsova saved for future generations the unique frescoes of churches of Novgorod the Great: St. Sophia Cathedral, the Church of Transfiguration on Ilin, the church of St. Nicholas in Lipno, Church of the Annunciation in the monastery, St. Nicholas Cathedral in Yaroslav's Court, etc. The artist has participated in the restoration works of the estate Tenisheva, church Nuzale (North Ossetia), the Russian Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas in Sofia, the Church of Saint George in Beirut.

Kuznetsova noting the significance restoration work at the State Museum of Ceramics and Estate Kuskovo XVIII century, the cathedrals of the Moscow Kremlin, Novodevichy, Sretenski, Donskoy Monastery. A. Kuznetsov received the blessing to join the coordinating team of specialists on the artistic decoration of the Temple of Christ the Savior, and was awarded the Order of St. Sergius of Radonezhskogo for reconstruction painting of this temple. Currently, A. Kuznetsov is working on the restoration of frescoes Novospassky Monastery in Moscow.

The exhibition includes: a stand devoted to biographies of A. Kuznetsov, tools, wizards, which are used in modern restoration, the original frescoes XVIII century, photographs of frescoes XI - XIX centuries, as well as two films dedicated to the art A. Kuznetsova.

The exhibition runs until 28 February.
