Today, 16 February, at 16.00 in the exhibition hall of the State Scientific Research Institute of Restoration (GosNIIR st. Burdenko, 23) opens the exhibition "History in stone».

exhibition is devoted to the complex and multi-year work of a group of architects of the Central Scientific and restoration workshops, the Kremlin and restorers of the department of monumental sculpture GosNIIR to save a unique white-stone carving renaissance in the XVI century portals of the Archangel and Cathedral of the Annunciation, which under the influence of negative factors have lost up to 50 percent of unique carved decoration.

In addition, the exhibition presents materials on the study and restoration of commemorative plates over the graves of the Russian Tsars - Ivan III, Basil Dark; sarcophagi of great queens and princesses from the Archangel Cathedral.
