Famous Swiss collection will show the first time after a major robbery

Today Art Museum in Zurich opens exhibition of works from the collection of Emil Burlet (Emil Buerhle), which is considered one of the most significant collections of Impressionist and post-impressionism. Earlier in the collection had its own museum, but it closed after the robbery incident in February 2008. Armed bandits carried four paintings - pearls collection, total value estimated at $ 160 million.
two paintings, "Poppies near Veta" by Claude Monet (Claude Monet) and Chestnut in Flowers Vincent van Gogh (Vincent van Gogh) were detected a week after the theft. They were in a car parked next to a city psychiatric hospital. Other paintings, "Count Lepic" by Edgar Degas (Edgar Degas) and "Boy in a red vest" by Paul Cezanne (Paul Cézanne), are still listed as missing in the lists.
the Art Museum will shows 180 paintings and sculptures. The exhibition will run until May 16. In 2015, work will move into new wing of the museum, designed by British architect David Chipperfield (David Chipperfield).
