Today in the Moscow Museum of Modern Art opened a retrospective exhibition of Leonid Tishkov. The exhibition features installation, created by the artist for thirty years of creative work
Today , January 27, 2010, at 19.00 in the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (Ermolaevsky lane 17) will be opening a retrospective exhibition Leonid Tishkov - artist, storyteller and visionary, ironic and poetic at the same time. On several floors of the museum will develop total installation, representing Tishkov created over thirty years of creative work (1980-2010) invented the worlds Dabloid, divers, Stomaki and other creatures. Combining folklore and surrealism, creating a romantic design, addressing the theme of memory, working with the usual subjects, the artist is always sincere, turning art into a visual theater. The main thing for an artist - look at the world through the eyes of the child, seeing in it the wonderful manifestations and eventually turn into the most fantastic creature.
Leonid Tishkov - the principal component space of the Moscow art, self-contained "brand" . Few of his contemporaries remain so rigid and consistent internal motivation of his work. He had long since crossed the line in search of identity in art. The strategy of its motion - in the continuous creation of myths in the invoice and a very dynamic story, where the diversity of forms stems from the continuously generated by the diversity of content.
Exposition will be a journey from the lower world through peace in the Mid-Upper world. On four floors, regardless of the creation of works, the installation will be located - stories. The lower world tells about Dabloid , Ctomakah , diver , Csurka and living in the trunk . The middle world is represented by biographical stuff: Vyazannik , Home work , Look at his house , In the field of my father , dress mother , etc. The upper world is drawn to the sky: Conversations with heaven , Sky divers , Moon , Star , Solveig , round the world , Ladomir .
On exhibition will be shown and a new installation by Leonid Tishkov's "In Search of the Miraculous", dedicated to the Dutch artist Basu Jan Ader, who disappeared without a trace three decades ago in the Atlantic Ocean.
The exhibition is open to the public from 28 January on March 14, 2010.
