Today the British Royal Academy exhibition opens, bringing together paintings and graphic works of Van Gogh and his letters

Today, 23 January, the British Royal Academy presents "The present Van Gogh: the artist and his letters. Visitors will see 35 original letters, which are rarely exhibited because of its fragility, as well as some 65 paintings and 30 drawings depicting the main themes found in the correspondence of the artist. This is the first exhibition of this scale, dedicated to works of Van Gogh (Vincent van Gogh), which takes place in London over the past 40 years.

Most of the letters van Gogh wrote to his brother Theo (Theo van Gogh) , art dealer, Vincent supporter throughout his complex creative career. The artist also wrote and other members of his family, including his sister Wilhelmina (Wilhelmina). Letters from Vincent received and other artists: Anton van Rappard (Anton van Rappard), Emile Bernard (Emile Bernard) and Paul Gauguin (Paul Gauguin).
