Today, 15 December, at 14.00 in the State Tretyakov Gallery on the Crimean shaft (Halls 39-42) will open a new version of the permanent exhibition of the latest art trends.

Section of the Tretyakov Gallery's permanent exhibition "The Art of XX century", representing the material of the latest trends in Russia's art, was opened in 2006.

new variant differs from the previous exposure primarily to the fact that it is practically entirely formed by the material of the museum's collections, enriched with new additions as a result of purchases and gifts received during the past year.

In the seven sections of the exhibition - "Cosmic Mind: op-art and Kineticism" "The fight against materialism - from paintings to the object", "Sots Art and the political pop", "Conceptualism - in a system of relations", "" New Wild "1980", "The Art of direct action - a radical performance", "Painting 1990 -x "- presents the history of modern art practices in contemporary Russia's art late 1960's - 2000-ies. Works of art side by side with additional material - photo and video documentation, book and magazine illustrations.

Cross-cutting themes exposure related to the problem of progressive aesthetic choice between action, gesture, and the thing in the art of the second half of XX - beginning of XXI century.
