new display on three floors of the building on Petrovka unites more than 200 major works by Russian artists from the museum collection. These works, created over the past 20 years (1989-2009), reflect the diversity of new conceptual solutions and means of expression, including the most modern technology. The hero of this project is the building of the museum - a mansion in the historic center of Moscow, who survived multiple shift periods and destinations. The past is not going away without a trace and will certainly interfere with the lives of future generations, our goal - to show how this could happen, and make these imaginary layers transparent. Spaces that were once the rooms of the mansion, the school classes, or chambers of the hospital, and now have rooms of the museum freely into one another. Doors are removed from the hinges, they are no longer a barrier and symbolize the absolute openness of today's artistic process. Many of the works presented here for the first time exhibited in the halls of the Moscow Museum of Modern Art.

These paintings depict scenes of working meetings, rallies and discussions, work in a factory, in carpet factories, in the hot shop, a grocery store and in the culinary department.
