Today, 19 November, at 18.00 in the Moscow exhibition hall A3 Gallery "will be opening the exhibition of Vladimir Maslov's" Russian Nile, marking the 75 th anniversary birthday of the artist. The exhibition features paintings of different years, executed in oil on hardboard and cardboard.
Artist Vladimir Maslov was born in 1934 on the Volga River, spent his childhood under the old town Kalyazin. As a teenager, had to work as a stoker, a house painter, a painter and decorator. And even earlier - to make mats for sale and piggy banks. From early childhood, everything connected with the painting - brushes, paints, even simple pencils - caused him joy. In the native peasant edge of this seemed very peculiar, and the artist tried to take away from prying eyes - in the field, in the woods. Since then, Nature has become an integral part of his life and art.
In 1970, Maslow landscapes were represented at the exhibition to the 100 th anniversary of Lenin, the author received a diploma of the Union of Artists, and two years later there was a tragedy - all of his paintings were killed, and stunned the artist for years left the painting. Back to help her artist-poster artist Canons. It was then replaced Maslov brush on a palette knife, tool, according to the author, able to convey the drama of his disposition.
Vladimir Maslov - artist-nugget. His work is at the junction of high professionalism and folklore. The texture of his paintings unusually bold and poetics - is realistic and does not go beyond the traditional genres: portrait, landscape, still life. He wrote in an expressive manner, the space of his canvases filled with patches of light and shadow, sensiferous elements - air, water, fire, earth, and the luminous sharp lines caused a palette knife, make a plot of the drama and tension.
Nearly half a century Maslov lives in the village of White town on the Volga River - 150 kilometers from Moscow. The proximity to the aorta, Russia, the Volga, the impact on his understanding, the intuitive feeling of Russia's fate and human nature, no wonder the artist's house is only thirty meters from the River. A simple plot of paintings - the banks of the Russian Nile, Volga pine, haystacks in the snow, the streets of his native town - contains the subtle spiritual component.
The exhibition is open to the public from 20 to 29 November at: Starokonyushenny Lane., 39, daily except Mondays and Tuesdays, from 11.00 to 19.00.
