This fall, the British channel BBC2 launched a reality show, Charles Saatchi (working title Saatchi's Art Stars). The purpose of this project - to find new talented artists of modern art. Six finalists will undergo training in the television art school, where they will share the wisdom of recognized masters. In addition to the Saatchi, the participants will be judged show the artist Tracey Emin, art critic Matthew Collings, collector Frank Cohen, and head of the Barbican Art Gallery of Kate Bush. The winner gets a chance to exhibit their works in the Hermitage, and then in the Saatchi Gallery. In addition, the winner will get the opportunity to work for free for three years in the studio, located in the London district of Chelsea.
Exhibition "Newspeak. British Art Today, "will run until January 17, 2010. Its curator - Dmitry Ozerkov, Section Head of the State Hermitage Museum of Contemporary Art, Ph.D. in Philosophy.
