Tonight in the Association "Photo Center" Journalists' Union called a poster from private collections

Today, 29 September, at 17.00 in the Association "Photo Center" Union of Journalists on Gogol Boulevard presents "She says and shows POSTER».

At the exhibition for the first time in the past few decades will be presented approximately 100 posters from private collections. This is the original samples of poster art of XX century, some of them unique.

The exposition served as a product of the greatest artists - well-known masters of poster 1900-70-ies: Apsita (Alexander Petrov) , Dmitry Moor , Victor Denis , brothers Vladimir and Georgii Stenberg , Michael Dlugach , Nicholas Prusakova and many others. The displays have a wide thematic range represent almost all genres of poster art: commercial, political, propaganda, war posters, theater posters and cinema. Presented a variety of manners and styles of graphic design: from the pre-revolutionary modernism to socialist realism, and constructivism.

Posters, was common in Russia as a means of propaganda, advertising and promotion, is now being studied as a phenomenon of world culture, as well as the widely used worldwide as an element of interior decoration of offices, government offices, private homes and apartments. Russian and Soviet posters have long been collectors' items in the West. Works of art-poster artist represented in the expositions of many leading museums: the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Tate Gallery in London and elsewhere. The interest in collecting them increases, and in Russia.

The most in demand and valuable are the work of 1920-30-ies. During this period in Russia there is constructivism - the direction in art, which became the most productive for the development of artistic creativity in the past and present. The exhibition is presented in the constructivism works the most famous masters.
