Today at the State Pushkin Museum opens an exhibition acquaints visitors with a remarkable collection of printed graphic arts known publishing house Datsiaro

Today, 11 September, at the State Pushkin Museum (Prechistenka, 12/2) opens the exhibition «Moscow and St. Petersburg XIX century», which will give visitors a unique opportunity to see Moscow and St. Petersburg such, what saw them Pushkin and his contemporaries.

The exhibition will introduce visitors to a remarkable collection of printed graphic arts known publishing house Datsiaro, founded in Russia in the 30-ies of the XIX century Italian Giuseppe Datsiaro. Of color lithographs Datsiaro in the funds of the State Pushkin Museum - today one of the biggest.

75 lithographs of the famous series of firm Datsiaro will be presented in the exhibition - 35 historical types of Moscow and 21 species of Petersburg, as well as two dozen very popular in the XIX century the genre of domestic sketches of lithographic album «Russian folk scene» and «Russian folk types».

Dante Alighieri in Moscow, an initiative launched by the Italians, who lived and worked at that time in Russia. Among them was Giuseppe Datsiaro, grandson of the famous publisher and successor of his case.
