Today, 18 August, at 19.00, at the Center for Contemporary Art «M'ADR» (Pushkarev Pereulok., 5) opened an international exhibition «Test at the national gene. Quotations », which is part of the long-term humanitarian programs in the field of fine art« One sixth plus ». The name of this program, initiated by the Creative Union of Artists of Russia with the support of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of CIS countries, was born out of sustained phrases «one-sixth», which means exactly that part of the world's land, a space that occupies our Commonwealth. This phraseologism easily recognizable by most inhabitants of the CIS. Under the «plus» refers to the nearest neighbors and the state, contemporary art which is significant in guiding the Commonwealth and the Baltic States.
There is a certain territorial difference, supranational, connected with the peculiarities of climate, properties of the atmosphere and terrain, forming a commitment to convergence or a contrasting palette of the author, which is formed in childhood, not burdened by excessive artistic concepts. This «opinion» is a person for life, regardless of where he would later live. There is an atmosphere of interpersonal relations, there is still ta «Cultural dust», which «settle» in the period of the inadmissibility of any school.
What is the general perception in Lithuanian, Russian and Georgian? What are their differences? This project examines the issues in connection with the processes of self-identification of existing states of the former Soviet Union and the trend towards territorial division along ethnic lines. Purpose - selected examples sealed space-time images in the documentary film and copyright in the author's photographs to identify differences or formal features of the national schools.
