Mysticism is a special way of understanding and perception of the world, based on emotion, intuition and irratsionalizme. In all the times people tried to understand what is not logical and reasonable explanations.

presented at the exhibition of graphic works by Vladimir Zimakova affect one of the most important issues Mysticism: «What makes people and forces them to commit any acts?» Designer transforms abstract concepts such as inspiration, obsession, passion, temptation and madness in the concrete and vivid visual images. In his paintings the characters, their muses and patrons, admirers and enemies interact both in real and absurd situations.

extension of this theme are a series of illustrations to the works of Gustav Mayrinka «Valpurgieva night» and Nikolai Gogol «Zapiski crazy». The selection of these works is not accidental, because they are based on metamorphosis of human nature under the influence of supernatural mystic power.

Vladimir Zimakov was born in 1979 in Moscow, in 1991 moved with his parents in the United States. Art education has received in the Faculty of illustration, Kansas Art Institute and Parsons School of Design in New York, followed by three years probation in Mikhail Shemyakin and worked in the «Museum of imagination» (Hudson, New York). In 2005 Vladimir graduated from London University's graduate school of Arts in book design (workshop of Professor Andrew Haslama). Member of the American Association of Graphs and the Association of Book Stamps.

B. Zimakov collaborated with the world's leading publishers Penguin, Random House and «Vita Nova», as well as the editorial offices of various U.S. and European magazines. His works were presented at the personal and group exhibitions in the United States, Greece, Russia.

The exhibition is open from 9 to 19 July at: Starokonyushenny lane. 39, from 11.00 to 19.00 every day except Mondays and Tuesdays.
