Today, Gallery «Fine Art» in the International festival «Fashion and Style in Photography 2009», the first solo exhibition in Russia celebrated French photographer Marc òÉÂÕ.

Mark òÉÂÕ (Marc Riboud), the patriarch of French photography, the famous artist was born in Lyon in 1923. Here he enrolled in high school, made his first photograph, which came to an exhibition in Paris in 1937. It was war, and in 1943-1945 òÉÂÕ actively participated in the French Resistance. In 1945-1948 he studied engineering at Ecole Centrale and until 1951 worked as an engineer in Lyons. In 1951, became a freelance photographer, and in 1952 moved to Paris where he met Henri Cartier-Bresson and Robert Kapan and became a member of the Agency «Magnum Photos» (Magnum Photos). Jobs at Magnum - one of the highest recognition of the work of photographers; òÉÂÕ in 1959 became vice-president of Magnum in Europe, and in 1975-1976 - president of Magnum.

In 1957 òÉÂÕ one of the first European photographers traveled to China, and in 1968, 1972 and 1976 made a famous series of reports from North Vietnam. Later, he traveled to every continent in favor of Asia, Africa, the United States and Japan. Features òÉÂÕ published in numerous magazines, including Life, Geo, National Geographic, Paris-Match, Stern. òÉÂÕ twice awarded the prestigious award Overseas Press Club Award (1966 and 1970). The large retrospective exhibition of Mark òÉÂÕ took place in 1985 in the Paris Museum of Modern Art (Musee d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris) and in 1988 at the International Center of Photography (Iternational Center of Photography) in New York. Photos made in China, demonstrated in particular in New York (1997), in Paris - at the National Center of Photography (1996), Beijing (1996, Musee des Beaux-Arts), in New York at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (1972 ).

During the Vietnam War òÉÂÕ as a political photographer witnessed the atrocities on both sides, he worked in China during the Cultural Revolution. But its objective character and moments of everyday life - the game of sunlight, the charm of children's games in the streets of Paris. Despite the significant difference between reportage and art photography, Mark òÉÂÕ both excellent photographer and a wonderful photographer. He not only got his camera, the most important events of the world, but the spirit of time, emotional and sensual world. òÉÂÕ created a wonderful portraits, urban and natural landscapes, genre pictures, different angles and the sophistication of the chosen songs. His pictures of comprehensive, they provide a detailed picture of human life and its habitat. No geroizatsii in the center - a man as a microcosm of the ambient macroworld.

One of the most famous photographs òÉÂÕ - painter at the Eiffel Tower - to make them in 1953, at the same time it was published in Life. Painter recalls the dancer, balancing between the tower structures to spread a mist of Paris. In 1960 and 1968 òÉÂÕ visited Moscow and some photos of these trips were part of the exhibition.
