April 11, in Galeyev Gallery opens exhibition «Photographers TASS: Chronicle thaw», which represents the historical frames 1955-1963 years.
In the middle of last century in Samarkand he lived and worked spetskorom Tass photographer Alexander Prokofievich Kuzmenko. In the USSR come Khrushchev thaw, the Soviet people to build a bright future and to build peace in the world, and Telegraph Agency of the Soviet Union regularly covered this positive process. Kuzmenko, like other regional correspondents in Moscow regularly send best shot counterparts - photos TASS - thus raised guidance in reportage photography. The photos were stored for several decades.
Recently, these prints were found. Several dozen of the leading masters of story, shot in 1955-1963 years - an original cast of the time of filing of the media: ideologically balanced, politically committed, but nevertheless quite accurate, though unable to qualify for the completeness.
Human memory is built beneficently: Time to erase the bad, and, looking back, we are immersed in the bright history of childhood and adolescence. Noble cotton growers and herders, talented scientists, public figures and ordinary Soviet workers happily smiling with newspaper photographs. Sunlit streets, theaters are full of visitors, and health - a rest.
The photos show the most important historical personalities: the first astronaut Yuri A. Gagarin, General Secretary Nikita S. Khrushchev, Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru, President of the Council of Ministers Nikolai A. Bulganin, Clown Pencil - People's Artist Mikhail Nikolayevich Rumyantsev, the Italian film star Gina Lollobrigida.
TASS organization strong, authoritative, taken from their ranks the best photo of professionals whose skills and to this day is of great respect. Among them are famous since the war photographers: Mark Redkin and Nikolai Kuleshov, Moscow annalist Naum Naum Granovsky , chronicler of government voyage Vasiliy Egorov .
Leo Porter, who worked in the fifties Tass photographer, after two decades headed the unit Photo TASS. Kiev talented photographer Nicholas Selyuchenko later organized the National Union of Photographers of Ukraine.
Some of the names, unfortunately, nearly forgotten, but the photos have become an integral part of the history of a great country.
