Today at the State Museum of Contemporary Art of Russian Academy of Arts (Gogolevsky boulevard, 10) opens exhibition «Christian Dior: 60 Years of History in Photographs». The exhibition is organized within the framework of the Moscow International Festival «Fashion and Style in Photography 2009».

History of the House of Christian Dior was launched in 1947, when Christian Dior made a revolution in the world of high fashion, showing the audience dress with long yubkoy, opulent bust and small shoulders. From 1947 to 1957 Dior continued to surprise and delight audiences, offering at each show a new image: his clothes had names, and collections - Subjects: Theater, music, literature, museums ... In addition to delicious collection of clothing, House of Dior perfumes offering customers , jewelry, shoes, handbags, ties, corsets, gloves - everything you need to bring the desired image to perfection. House of Dior became a studio, where famous designers left the twentieth century, Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Boan, Gianfranco Ferre, and finally John Galliano.

120 photographs from the archive of the House of Dior designed to help the Russian public to provide not only the history of the House, but also the evolution of style and dynamic image of Dior. Dior has always maintained very close ties with prominent photographers. In 1940-50's best models Houses rented Erwin Blumenfeld, Willy Meyvold, John Rawlings, Henry Clarke, Robert Randal, Horst P. Horst ... This tradition has never been interrupted: House of Dior today operates as the most famous artists from the world of photography, as well as young talents.
