Exhibition for blind and visually impaired persons in the GTG
Yesterday evening, in the Tretyakov Gallery on Krymsky Val has opened a special exhibition for blind and visually impaired people, where they can learn from the sculptures of Lazarus Gadaeva
The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the State Tretyakov Gallery, the program «The museum, open to all» represent a special exhibition «Mountain Road», compiled from the available for tactile perception of one of the most interesting Russian sculptors, Lazarus Gadaeva. The exhibition opened last night in the halls of The State Tretyakov Gallery in Krymsky Val.
Museums little available for people with disabilities: such visitors have difficulty not only in movement but also in the perception of information, particularly that which has a work of art. Tretyakov Gallery in 2007, holds a special art-therapy program «The museum, open to all» for people with various health problems.
The next draft program - a unique exhibition which shows 12 works of bronze Gadaeva Lazarus (1938-2008). Among them are «Horsemen in the mountains», «Mountain Road», «A man with a bird», as well as composition for the first time by «shepherds, playing the flute». Works from the Collection of the author's family will be «look» hands - to touch the sculpture, Perceiving its shape, plastic, texture. That invoice modeling, expressive «roughness» of different works of this master. «Sculptures Lazarus Gadaeva need to watch your fingers, as if blind, - considers the well-known director-animator Yuri Norstein. - Tangibility Gadaeva plastic - it is also a painting».
Famous Moscow sculptor drew stories in the folk traditions of North Ossetia, where he was born, in the mythology of ancient Alanian culture. L. Gadaev comparing life traveling on mountain roads, where the alternating rises and descents. The sponsors want to tell about the mountain region and living in the nation, with its special customs and even the sounds of the mountains, specially selected work, imbued with gentle folk humor, as well as on the topics of music and dance.
During the period of the exhibition department of education is planning to hold special interactive tours, which include tactile familiarity with the sculptures, listen to tracks, reproducing the natural sounds of the mountain and Ossetian traditional music as well as a small workshop on the modeling of the room a creative workshop. The program is intended primarily for students of schools and correctional boarding schools for blind and visually impaired children.
Tretyakov Gallery expresses profound thanks to Konstantin Gadaevu for the sculpture of Lazarus Gadaeva. The exhibition is dedicated to the memory of the master.
