Vladimir Opara notes 35 years of creative activity of personal exposure in the exhibition hall of the Moscow Union of Artists

Today, in the exhibition hall of the Moscow Union of Artists «Kuznetsk bridge 20» will open a retrospective exhibition Vladimir Vladimir Opary «35 years of creative work ». This 27 th solo exhibition on the account wizard, which will be presented for the first time, all periods of his creativity. Visitors can see paintings on canvas and paper, 1974-2009 years.

Exposition retrospective exhibition opened earlier author's works - «Sunflowers» (1974), «April» (1977), «boat» (1976). Already in early work, the entire future path - honesty, openness, willingness-to-height of the art world, the search for his own creative path. Generally 35-year-old painter path can be divided into two periods: the Siberian period (1974-1990) and the Moscow period (1990-2009). 16 years and 19 years old.

In the first 16 years of the artist, who was born in Barnaul, replaced several Siberian cities, many shops, but did not fit into the local artistic life. Despite the extraordinary conditions of life, an artist and a lot of hard work, and it was in Siberia for the first time appealed to the Bible subjects: in 1989, wrote «The Kiss of Judas» (TG).

In 1990 the artist moved to Moscow. A turning point for the country being shown in the series of works on paper (1990-1992). The exhibition presents works by «Temple 1», «The Temple 2», «The Temple of 3», «supporting Cross». More than 50 works in this series are in private collections in the United States. On canvas 1992-1993, presented in the exhibit shows a dramatic time, a tragedy comparable to biblical times: «As he cried,», «Cross for hero», «Jerusalem», «Feast». Several paintings created during that period, acquired by the State Tretyakov Gallery - «crucified», «Construction of the Tower», «self».

In 1993-1994, new series were launched on paper - «constructions» (1994-1996), «Surfaces» (1994-1996). Part of these works were shown at exhibitions «Abstraction in Russia. XX Century »(2001) and« Collage in Russia. XX Century »(2005) in the State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg). Individual sheets are in the collections of the State Russian Museum.

The exhibition features self-portraits. A series of self-written v1987-2001. Part of self is in museums and private collections. The artist is drawn to the portrait genre at a difficult time for themselves and creates a series of female images of hysterical and sublime: «A woman with lips nakrashennymi», «Valya», «woman with a comb» (1997), «Women and men» (1996). In 1997-2005 the works of the artist's use of collage: «A boy and his mother carburetor» (1997), «Message from entering Jerusalem - reply enter Jerusalem» (1998-2000), «Wind from the East» (2005), «He After arriving in Jerusalem »(2005).

In the exhibition presents a series of song «Boats and steam» (2007-2008). Series «Boats and steam» was shown in Germany (2007) and Krasnoyarsk (2008). Two songs «boats and steam trains» are in the collection of the Center for Contemporary Art. The exhibition features recent works by the artist: «Saturday» (2008-2009), «Sunday» (2008), «What would I sight» (2009). In these works on canvas the author uses technology developed by them, turning art into objects.

At a retrospective exhibition of the artist decided to show the project ARTFOR, which this year marks 10 years of age. Under the project, schoolchildren, students, young artists, using new, digital, computer technology create works of modern art. The creative team ARTFOR took part in the 1-st Moscow International Biennale of Young Art «Stop! Who goes? », Participated in the exhibition projects in the State Tretyakov Gallery, State Russian Museum, was nominated for a national award in the field of contemporary art« black box ». March 19, creative evening Vladimir Opary of the film (video) created by Opara-studio and the project participants ARTFOR. On the evening of the creative artist's friends - well-known poets in Moscow - will show poetic performances. The author will answer questions the audience.
