Recently, the Prado Museum has opened a large exhibition devoted to 100 anniversary of the famous British artist Francis Bacon (Francis Bacon). It has been prepared jointly with the Tate Britain gallery in London and New York Metropolitan Museum, where the exhibit will leave after a stay in the Spanish capital. Unlike London and New York, where the works are regularly exhibited over the past 40 years, in Madrid, to date, only one was interesting, but relatively small exhibition, which was presented to all 17 new works by the author. That is why this project is of such great importance to the Prado Museum, which the artist often visited in the last years of his life, and to Madrid, where the artist died on 28 April 1992.

Just as in the Tate Gallery, the exhibition at the Prado will be presented 78 paintings by Bacon, including some unique work, and 15 of the most important triptychs created by the British master. In addition, visitors can see the documentary material from his studio, which can analyze and disclose the sources, in which he drew inspiration in creating the songs and realize their basic ideas.
