Gallery Diehl + Gallery one represents the first in Moscow solo exhibition of world-famous Spanish sculptor Zhaume Plensa (Jaume Plensa) .

It will be part of a huge sculpture of House of Knowledge ( «House of Knowledge»), which will be from February to June 2009 before the new, the highest hotel in Europe - Grand Hyatt Moscow in Tower «Federation» in «Moscow City ». Vosmimetrovaya figure of a seated man «House of Knowledge», completely made of Cyrillic characters in the form of a grid, according to its open design, the viewer can literally go into it. She exhibited in 2007 in Antibes (France), as well as on the Strip in parallel c Art Basel Miami Beach. And recently - along with a series of «Heart Trees» - at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA.

Zhaume Plensa often works for public sites. One of his most ambitious project - it is finished in 2004, a monumental Crown Fountain in Millennium Park in Chicago, next to Anish Kapoor Cloud Gate and Pavilion Frank Gehry's Jay Pritzker. Other sculptures Plensy outdoors can be found in Barcelona, Tenerife, St. Denis, Tokyo, Yorkshire, Geytshede, Jerusalem, Pistoia, Kimpo (Korea), Washington, London and Toronto.

Portfolio Zhaume Plensa over 30 years exhibited at the international level of personal and group exhibitions: including the Pompidou Center (1992), the gallery Tate Liverpool (1995), at the Museum of Modern Art Ludwig Foundation (1996), Galerie Nationale du Jeu de Paume (1997), Museum Rupertinum (1999), the National Museum of Centro Arte Contemporanea di Reina Sofia Madrid (2000), in the Baltic Center for Contemporary Art, Geytshed (2002), Museum of Modern Art, New York ( 2005), the National Gallery, Oslo (2006) and recently in the Museum d'Art Moderne and the d'Art Contemporain, Nice (2007-2008).

The artist will be present in the gallery at the opening of his exhibition, which will be held today at 19.00. And on 7 February at 19.00 in the CSR Winery Zhaume Plensa will read a lecture on the theme «The role of industrial sculpture in the urban environment» and participate in panel discussions.
