From 27 January to 15 February in the CHA All-Russian art exhibition taking place «Russia XI»

Today, at the Central House of Artists a Russian art exhibition «Russia XI». It will run until 15 February and will take all the rooms of CHA.

exhibition «Russia XI» - the final stage of the largest project the Artists' Union of Russia, which during 2008 in all federal districts of the country have been intermediate-scale exhibition shows. In February, was an exhibition «Artists of the central areas of Russia» in Yaroslavl, May - September exhibition «Bolshaya Volga» worked first in Cheboksary, and in Samara, in September opened an extensive exhibition of «Siberia» Novosibirsk in October - «Far East» in Khabarovsk, «Russian North» in Veliky Novgorod and «South of Russia» in Sochi in November - Exhibition «Ural» in Chelyabinsk, in December 2008 - January 2009 - exhibition «Moscow» in the capital of Russia.

From these intermediate inter-regional (zonal) exhibits prepared panoramic exposition «Russia XI». This is the largest art and exhibition project in the country, born in early 1960 in the wake of «Khrushchev thaw» and to this day not lost its relevance for the regions of Russia. It has traditionally been the foundation of its stabilization. And this tradition, a sort of exclusion of the preferences and concepts allows organizers for many years to unite artists of different generations and regions of the country.

Inter-regional (area) of the panorama of art to represent the Russian regions over the past five years. The project aims at the development of art and the task - through a network of exhibitions in the Federal District to support the artists provinces, promote the creation of large, important works and display them on the exhibition venues of major cities and the capital of Russia.

At the opening ceremony of Russian art exhibition «Russia XI» will be attended by representatives of the country's leadership, the major figures of Russian art, famous artists, art historians, critics, art experts, the leaders of the Union of Artists of Russia, Russian Academy of Fine Arts, Research Institute of History and Theory of Fine Arts, the delegation of public art republics, territories and regions of the Russian Federation.
