Today, the Corps of Engineers Tretyakov Gallery opens jubilee exhibition Valentine M. Sidorova , the People's Artist of the USSR, Chairman of the Artists' Union of Russia , active member of the Russian Academy of Art, timed to coincide with the 80-th anniversary of the famous master of landscapes.

One of the sixties generation, whose emergence has come at the postwar years, the winner of State Prizes of USSR and the USSR, and today it continues to the picturesque traditions of Russian realistic school. In his paintings, Valentin Sidorov, combining landscape with genre motifs, drawing measured over the life of the rural, rustic poetiziruet way that should cause the viewer the feeling of the natural harmony of man and nature. In a retrospective VM Sidorov includes about 80 paintings and more than a dozen paintings from the collections of GTG, Tver Region Art Gallery and the collection of the author, including several thematic cycles and have not exhibited the work of the 1950's.
