Today, at 17.00 in the halls of the Gallery of Arts Zurab Tsereteli (Prechistenka, 19) held the opening exhibition of the People's Artist of Russia Vladimir Pimenova «Family Chronicle».

Vladimir Pimenov - a talented painter from the ancient city of Moscow Zaraisky represents a cycle of paintings of four generations of his family. As an original artist uses photographs from the family album, which he creatively transforms.

author's idea is simple, understandable, and the nobility of every human heart. Restore ragged us time to return the non-existence of the dear people of their loved ones, to feel themselves part of a family clan, originating from the distant past. This theme is the best way to correspond to the motto of 2008, declared «Year of the Family».

The exhibition creates the feeling of a single documentary films. The paintings share common style and compositional techniques, tone scale, technology letters. The images the artist accompanies the text of their comments. This method links the episodes from the lives of people in a single chain, reflecting the length of human life, gives the product of multiple and multidimensional. Artist was able to recreate the atmosphere of the time in which his ancestors lived and which today we can clearly perceive. We are beginning to feel the past as being a reality to which we are involved.

Picturesque series Vladimir Pimenova «Family Chronicle» is unique in the sense of internal content and the form, and is deeply interested in its own as a phenomenon in the fine arts. It has been shown in many cities of the Russian Federation and enjoyed the same success with the audience.

Vladimir Pimenova works are in the collections of major domestic and foreign museums - the State Tretyakov Gallery, Pushkin Museum to them.
