Late of the outstanding American artist of Latvian origin of Mark Rothko will be exhibited at the Tate Modern gallery in London

Today, the London Tate Modern Gallery opens exhibition of works by American artist of Latvian origin Mark Rothko (Mark Rothko - real name Markus Rotkovits, 1903-1970 ), which is considered one of the most prominent post-war painters. From September 26, 2008 to 1 February 2009, visitors can see some 50 paintings and graphic works. In 1958, Rothko painting offered to perform for decorating the walls of one of the halls of the restaurant «Four Seasons». In his studio Rothko put wood to create a rough imitation of the restaurant.
