From 18 September to 15 November in the Gallery at the Gary Tatintsyan Ilyinke exhibition will take place, Tony Matelli (Tony Matelli), a former assistant Jeff Koons (Jeff Koons) and one of the most promising artists of America.
This is the first solo exhibition in Moscow Matelli. It will be presented in different techniques and genres, including sculpture from silicone, resins, and human hair and work in bronze.
Also in the exhibit can be seen collages based on the artist's self-made in the spirit of the Renaissance master Giuseppe Arcimboldo (Giuseppe Arcimboldo). Arcimboldo, which is considered the forerunner of surrealism, is known for his portraits, composed of fruits, vegetables, flowers and similar items.
Sam Matelli, born in 1971, describes the characters of his works so: «They are confused by the, because I was too muzzy. I think that is the current state of life ». Despite their youth, Matelli has exhibited his works in prestigious galleries around the world, including in New York, Paris and Berlin.
