Works by Ukrainian artists will be in Abu Dhabi

From 24 to 31 August in the Gallery Al Ghaf Art Gallery in Abu Dhabi (UAE) will host exhibition of works by contemporary Ukrainian artists. The exhibition will be works of Maria Ralko, Stanislaw Adamenko, Anatoly Zorka and Igor Melnychuk

in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, has opened an exhibition of Ukrainian artists under the title «Dreams in the oasis». It will be held in Al Ghaf Art Gallery from 24 to 31 August under the patronage of the Embassy of Ukraine in the UAE and is dedicated to the 17 th anniversary of Ukrainian independence.

The exhibition will be presented paintings of a couple - Mary and Stanislav Ralko Adamenko. They studied at the Academy of Arts of Ukraine at the Faculty of Architecture and after graduation began working together. The best known, they have acquired through participation in the renovation of the Kiev Opera, and then gained recognition not only at home but also abroad.

In 1998, Maria Ralko and Stanislav Adamenko led architectural offices under the Administration of President of Ukraine and has since been involved in designing the residences of heads of state and office buildings. One of the most recent projects - reconstruction of the Mariinsky Palace in Kiev.

Architecture - main area of professional activity and Ralko Adamenko, but for fun couples prefer to paint. According to Stanislaw, in painting, they can «to express themselves: their feelings, ideas, views on life».

This is why seven years ago the wife decided to open a private gallery in Kiev, which exhibited not only their work but also other works by contemporary Ukrainian artists.

In addition to paintings Ralko (among them a portrait of the UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zaeda Al Nahyan) and Adamenko, Gallery Al Ghaf Art Gallery can be seen well-known works of Ukrainian artists Anatoly Zorka and Igor Melnychuk.

In the main picture at the exhibition dedicated to Ukrainian theme. However, for some of Ralko Adamenko and source of inspiration was the culture of the UAE. As noted in his interview with Khaleej Times Maria A., «in the last 4-5 years we are often in the UAE, and we really like Islamic art, especially Arabic calligraphy».

In the future, a couple is planning to strengthen its ties to the UAE. Artists want to open in Abu Dhabi its representation Kiev gallery, where you will see not only works from their collections, but also exhibits from other galleries and museums. They also consider the organization in the UAE capital, master classes, professors who will conduct the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture of Ukraine.
