Exhibition «Time to collect ...» presents art masterpieces from private collections overseas. Most of them will be exhibited for the first time in Russia in the past have been known only to a narrow circle of specialists. A special place is occupied by four private collections: Jon Stewart, Edward Rotmanna, Alex Lahmanna and private collections from New York.

Among the exhibits - of the Russian classics XVIII - first half of XIX century, by Fyodor Rokotov, Vladimir Borovikovsky, Carl Brullov, Oresta Kiprensky and Alexei Venetsianov, as well as canvases by Aristarchus Lentulov, Robert Falk, Pyotr Konchalovsky, Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin, Kazimir Malevich, Mikhail Larionov, Natalia Goncharova, David Burliuk, Alexandra Exter, Alexandra Yakovleva, Boris Grigoriev.

The exhibition and the work of lesser-known Russian painters viewer - Maria Vasilyeva, Pavel Mansurov, Peter Galadzheva and Basil Ermilova ... Exhibition «The twentieth century in the Russian Museum» will present masterpieces of Russian and foreign art from the museum funds and a permanent exhibit. The exhibition includes the most significant names of Russian painting «Silver Age» and the avant-garde: Michael Vrubel, Konstantin Somov, Valentin Serov, Vasily Kandinsky, Natalia Goncharova, Mikhail Larionov, the masters of «Knave of Diamonds».

Art of the Soviet era, in a variety of areas, the work of artists from 1920 to 1990, from Alexander Samokhvalova and Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin and Ivan Chuikov and Erik Bulatov.
