From 5 to 16 June, 2008 gallery «Vellum» holds in the Central House of Artists exhibition of works of the Leningrad underground legends - the artist Yury Zharkov, timed to coincide with the 70-th anniversary of the master.

hot Yu graduated from Higher Art and Industrial School. V. Mukhina Leningrad (1967). From the very first independent steps in the art, he declared himself as a bright, original artist. In 1970 Yuri's hot - one of the leaders of unofficial art in Leningrad and Moscow, the organizer of the first underground exhibitions in Leningrad, the famous party Bulldozer Exhibition in Moscow. On his initiative in late 1975 were created Association of experimental exhibitions, bringing together artists, nonconformists. Because of the prosecution authorities, Y. hot emigrated to Germany and then to France, where the lives and works now.

Vernissage will take place June 6 to 18 hours in the Central House of Artists, room number 8.
