Exhibition «Unknown Kustodiev», dedicated to the International Day of Museums, will open May 16 in the Nizhni Novgorod State Art Museum (NGHM).
The Museum represents the first time, viewers «Portrait of GN Smirnova (in childhood)«, created by Boris Kustodiev at the end of XIX century and rebuilt in the early XXI. The exhibition also introduces visitors to the complex processes of restoration and study of this unknown canvases.
In addition, on 23 May in NGHM the first time will be submitted to the cycle «Marc Chagall. Biblical scenes », including the 100 lithographs celebrated artist - illustration of the Bible from the private collection (Germany). The exhibition will be accompanied by music specially written for the exhibition project.
