Exhibition «Tales of Alexander Pushkin. Painting. Graphics. Books. Sculptures XIX - XX centuries. from the State Pushkin Museum »continues to work at the State Museum of AS Pushkin.

The exhibition shows more than 200 works by artists of XIX - XX centuries, created after tales of Alexander Pushkin. This is the work of painters, graphics, sculptures, book illustrations, and masters of decorative art, theater artists - more than 60 names, many of which are in the Golden Fund of Russian Art: Vasily Polenov, Ivan Bilibin, Martiros Sarian, Vadim Ryndin, Tatiana Mavrina, Sergei Barkhin, Alexander Golovin, Konstantin Korovin, Evgenii Kibrik and others.

Bright presented at the exhibition theater Pushkiniana, preserved in the drawings, sketches of scenery and costumes for the famous opera, drama and ballet productions at the fabulous works of Alexander Pushkin. The wide exposition of book illustrations to the works of Pushkin introduces more than half the history of bibliography poet - from first editions of Pushkin's lifetime until the early editions, and the middle of the twentieth century and contemporary works. Among the exhibits - models of books, title pages, screensavers, vignettes, drawings, executed in very different artistic style and technique. Reproduced in the exhibition and images of Pushkin, often «illustrated» their creations.

Palekh and painted porcelain, the characters of Pushkin's fairy tales, done in clay, wood, plaster and bronze by adding materials exhibition underscore how inexhaustible source of inspiration and imagination of artists for a world of fairy tales of Alexander Pushkin.
