Continues the Ukrainian theme the work of the first rector of Kiev University historian M. Maksymovych "Ukrainian songs..." (lot 39) with a dedicatory inscription addressed to the publisher A. F. Veltman — known to the writer of the Pushkin circle, historian and archaeograph.
Of rare editions of the XIX century the organizers of the auction say "Selected passages from correspondence with friends" by N. Gogol (lot 55) — last book appeared in the writer's life.
the compilers of the catalogue did not escape the notice of collectors and connoisseurs of albums. On sale will feature the album "Drawings to the study of fish and animal crafts on White and Arctic seas" (lot 75), published by the Ministry of state property in 1863. In it are 53 coloured lithographs on separate sheets depicting guns, tackle, nets for fishing, methods of fishing and hunting the animal, the cooking and Smoking of fish, production of seal fat.
section For autographs the auction house has gathered quite a lot of interesting — for example, autograph V. Ropshin on the title page of the book "a Pale Horse" (lot 230). V. Ropshin — literary pseudonym of Boris Viktorovich Savinkov (1879-1925), political activist and revolutionary, one of the leaders of the socialist party.
in Addition, in the section of autographs included inscript P. A. Vyskovatova in the book (lot 132); P. D. Parensov, addressed to the Grand Duke Nikolai Nikolaevich the Younger, this book about Balkan campaign, in which participated the author of the book and the Great Prince (lot 194); the collection "rainbow in the fountain" N. R. Erdman — manuscript copy of the first book of the future great playwright (lot 266), the autograph of the poet A. Voznesensky — additional stanza to the poem "Beat the woman" from the first collection of poems "Mosaic" (lot 467).
Quite extensively represented in the auction book for children. The compilers of the catalogue note this section first edition (1925) the famous fairy tale K. I. Chukovsky "the dark knight" (lot 336), "the cockroach" "Moidodyr" (lots 333 and 334), and "Kids in a cage" by S. Marshak 1923 year of publication (lot 335).
In the section of periodicals will be offered for auction including "LEF: journal of left front of the arts. No. 3 June @July mdas" (lot 348), one of the most famous rooms designed by A. Rodchenko.
Fans of Ilya Ilf and Yevgeny Petrov addressed in future auctions catalog first separate edition of the book "the Twelve chairs", published in 1928, in publishing the cover (lot № 384).
