At this largest engraving Durer depicted kneeling Roman general Plasidas (Christian Eustace), struck by what he saw in the horns of a deer crucifixion. This impression was once owned the Duke of Devonshire. In 1985, he sold it for 190,000 pounds.
And then followed a record engraving "Rhinoceros." Dürer painted animal brought in for the first time in Portugal in 1515 as a gift to the king of Portugal to the Indian Shah.
