Book Christie's auction brought 1.46 million pounds

The result of all Russian week Christie's - 16,7 million pounds (26.7 million dollars)

The auction house Christie's has completed the November auction week dedicated to Russian art, with the grand total 16.7 million pounds (26.7 million dollars). Top-lot auction auction "Masterpieces of Russian Art", held on November 26 , was the painting "The driver » Boris Kustodiev Boris , which went under the hammer for a record for the artist's works worth 4.4 million pounds (estimate 1 ,5-2 million pounds). Top lot in the section of Russian decorative arts became a badge and star of the Order of St. Andrew, sold for 481.25 thousand pounds (estimate 120-180 thousand pounds).

A favorite auction "An outstanding collection of Russian books and manuscripts from the imperial provenance", held on 29 November , was illuminated manuscript "The meeting of all arms are at the Court of His Imperial Majesty" (St. Petersburg, 1769) with pictures of Andrei Grekov, sold for 205.25 thousand pounds (estimate: 50-200 thousand pounds). Total of 149 lots trading book were sold 133 (89%), which in monetary terms was 91%.
