Written in 1907 by Paul Signac painting (1863-1935) titled "The Golden Horn, Constantinople" (estimate 4-6 million pounds) is one of the largest (89,2 x 116 and 3) of Istanbul, the artist. Landscape has a rich history of exhibition and impeccable provenance. Being in the collections of such well-known art dealers of his time, such as Paul Vallotton, in 1937 the painting was bought at auction daughter Jeanette Signac soon after the death of his father. The property of the artist's family left the canvas for the next 50 years, during which exhibited only once - in 1957.
