«Portrait of Martin Luther," is a copy of Lucas Cranach the Elder and provides an opportunity for a fresh look at creative Pentz. George Pentz (about 1500-1550, Leipzig or Wroclaw) was one of the most famous pupils of Albrecht Durer, and the portrait shows precisely the qualities that made famous by the artist. The work was written a year after Pentz received an order for her execution of the Elector of Saxony - Luther's closest supporters. This portrait has a special place in the history of European painting, and in the artistic heritage of the Arcimboldo (about 1527 - 1593, Milan).
