Auction house Christie's announced that proceeds from the auction on 20 November in London, which has exhibited a collection of His Royal Highness Prince George, Duke of Kent, and his wife, Princess Marina, was 2 079 713 pounds. Edward Clive, the head of trading Christie's, said: "The tradition put on the auction Christie's collections belonging to members of royal families, totals about 236 years, and we are honored that such auctions attracted considerable attention among collectors. In the auction was attended by over 700 people - representatives of different countries from the Middle East to Australia and from Colombia to China. Most of the items presented for sale after the bidding has exceeded its pre-auction price, and total revenue was twice the total estimate of all lots and totaled 2.1 million pounds. Total trades under the attention of collectors was presented about 300 lots, including products silver, jewelry, paintings, furniture and decorative art. was sold four albums with photographs of representatives of Russia's imperial family, made the mother of Princess Marina, granddaughter of Emperor Alexander II Grand Duchess Elena Vladimirovna. Albums include pictures of Nicholas II, his wife Alexandra Feodorovna, Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich, his wife Maria Pavlovna, Grand Duke Andrei, Boris and Cyril, as well as friends of the family. The pictures, taken during visits to Tsarskoe Selo, Pavlovsk, Peterhof, Red Village, Ropsha and other royal residences, sealed individual moments in the life of the Romanov family. At some - the scene in the Tsar's swimming pool, on the other - hunting in Buromke, on the third - Nicholas II, who plays tennis. One of the album is devoted entirely to the summer trip to Georgia from Novorossiysk in Batumi, with the Queen of Greece Olga K. and Princes Andrew and Christopher in the company of Grand Duke Georgy Mikhailovich and Mikhail Nikolayevich. Just release contains over 1 150 photographs, covering the time period from 1896 to 1901. Albums were sold for sums exceeding their initial estimate, or within them. Their total value amounted to 27.88 thousand pounds.
Among the lots with Russia's provenance was the most expensive stick with a gold knob of Faberge decorative enamel in the technique of "rosette", decorated with carved ornament and inlaid jade and diamond inserts, sold for 49.25 thousand pounds. Significantly higher than estimate the price of another lot, which includes two items: a decorative pashotnitsu of jasper on your outstretched leg and rhodonite oval eggs (about 1890). Both the object stored in the original casket, covered in red leather with gold embossed coat of arms of Russia empire went under the hammer for 17.5 thousand pounds, with Estimé only 1-1,5 thousand. Excellent results have also shown decorated with enameled gold snuffbox (St. Petersburg, about 1860), the price of which amounted to 17.5 thousand pounds (estimate 6-8 thousand), as well as a silver set of smoking pipes (Faberge, St. Petersburg, the last quarter of the XIX century), who went to the buyer for 9.38 thousand pounds (estimate 5-8 thousand).
French mantel clock in the Art Deco style of Cartier were purchased for 76 , 85 thousand pounds, nearly ten times greater than its lower estimate to 8 thousand pounds.
Another top lot of trades, which lasted more than six hours, was the portrait of Princess Louise Caroline Alberta Duchess of Argyll, brush Philip Alexis de Laszlo, written in 1915. The portrait was sold for 46,85 thousand pounds.
