September 18 at 19.00 in the space of the Embassy of France in Russia (Large Yakimanka 45) auction house «SOVCOM» holds a charity auction «Art Building». At the auction will be exhibited works by contemporary artists of Russia. Yesterday evening in the gallery «SOVCOM» (st. Shchepkina, 28) opened the pre-auction display.

The exhibition features works of AES S , Oleg Kulik , Zurab Tsereteli , Constantine Batynkov , Paul Pepperstein , Constantine Zvezdochetova , Francisco Infante and Nonna Goryunova and many other authors.

«Art Building» brings together leading contemporary artists have responded to the offer to help inmates Alexinsky orphanage.

The original purpose of the project was to support the children's home number 5 in Suzdal. In March 2008, in Moscow, held its first charity auction. We have collected more than 7 million rubles. Unfortunately, the summer of 2008 a children's home number 5 was disbanded, forcing us to seek a new partner for our project.

We have found adherents in the face of leadership Alexinsky orphanage in Tula region. Now it is brought up 48 children. We saw that for teachers of the orphanage is important not only material well-being of children, but also their spiritual and aesthetic development. And we joined people in the arts for a major long-term «construction» in Aleksino. We are building a house of art - an art school, where professional instructors will teach children art and graphics, tell them about the history of art, teach them carpentry skills and wood carving. We strive to make the art of language training and education. Together with the artists we come to Aleksin to register a new space for classes, and to acquaint the children with those who create contemporary art. Within the project the children will become members of creative competitions, master classes and exhibitions, visit museums and theater productions.

This is primarily about aesthetic education. And this, in our opinion, makes the project unique. Our goal - to create within the children's home creative living space. We are discussing the draft with friends and interested persons, sometimes heard a sharp question:

«Are you sure that these lessons are needed for children as well as, say, bicycles or medicine?» Our answer: «Yes, sure». And this belief drives us. These children shod, clothed, fed. These children have wonderful teachers. But they are acutely in need of human warmth and love, and hence in the works.

We have already begun to implement our project. Together with Oksana Sarkisyan was a three-year educational program for two age groups, classes in the studio starting in September, is currently under construction art classes under the direction of the architect and theorist Cyril Assa. Alexander Brodsky designing an outdoor play set for children, made the purchase of modern video and audio equipment for training. This is only the beginning, we hope that we can help many orphanages. And the construction of studios and creative techniques which, as we discovered a great need Russia's teachers.
