Sotheby's exhibition of Ukrainian art in Kiev

Sotheby's conducted a two-day exhibition of top lots of Ukrainian contemporary art from the collection of the first-ever auction of contemporary art in Russia and Ukraine

9 Jun, 2009 house Sotheby's in London will hold an auction of contemporary art in Russia and Ukraine (Russian Contemporary Sale). The list includes lots of artworks by the best contemporary artists from Ukraine estimeytami of 2-3 thousand pounds up to 20-25 thousand pounds, trade Ukrainian galleries, private collectors and artists themselves.

Pre-show two top lots will be held 20-21 May 2009 in the exhibition center «Ukrainian House» (Kiev, st., 2). Visitors will see 19 works by modern Ukrainian artists, who have never put up for auction.

Among the other works in the exhibition will feature:

1. Arsen Savadov (b. 1962). Underground 2000. Aluminum, color printing. Estimeyt: 8-10 of thousands of pounds.

5. Alexander Roytburd (b. 1961). Geisha. 2005. Oil on canvas. Estimeyt: 10-15 thousand pounds

6. Alexander Gnilitskiy (b. 1961). Rain. 2008. Oil on canvas. Estimeyt: 10-15 thousand pounds
