Collection Yves Saint Laurent will go under the hammer
According to Christie's International, in February next year at the auction will be exhibited works of art from the collection of famous fashion designer, which includes paintings by Francisco Goya, Pablo Picasso, Piet Mondrian
In February 2009, at Christie's auction in Paris will be sold to a collection of works of art of great couturier Yves Saint-Laurent (Yves Saint Laurent) and Foundation president named him Pierre Berger (Pierre Berge). According to Christie's, bidding will be arranged in collaboration with the Paris auction house Pierre Berge & Associes. The exact date of the auction and list of works that will be represented on it, Christie's announce later.
Yves Saint Laurent died in June 2008 at the age of 71 years. Together with Pierre Berger, who became co-founder of fashion house Yves Saint Laurent in 1961, he assembled a large collection of works of art. According to The Art Newspaper, cobranie estimated at 300 million pounds (nearly 600 million dollars). It includes works by old masters and contemporary artists: Francisco Goya (Francisco Jose de Goya), Pablo Picasso (Pablo Picasso), Henri Matisse (Henri Matisse), Piet Mondrian (Piet Mondrian), Andy Warhol (Andy Warhol) and others.
