A meeting of 33 picturesque and graphic works 2 Helium Korzheva was donated to the Museum by the collector Vladimir Nekrasov

The ceremony of gift giving was held in the Tretyakov gallery on 4 November.

the private collection of TG up to this point there were 10 work Helium Korzheva. Along with received 33 paintings and 2 drawings collection of the artist's works in the gallery will be the largest and quality in its composition.

In the framework of a long-term program "Patrons and donors — Tretyakov gallery" the Museum has been donated paintings Erik Bulatov (June 2017) and Dmitry Zhilinsky (July 2017), a wonderful picture of Dmitri Prigov (July 2017), installations and objects Andrey Kuzkin (September 2017). And now the donation of the works Korzheva — largest in the last decade, the flow value and the number of masterpieces.

Helium Korzhev — is one of the most powerful figures in Russian art. The representative of the postwar generation, he burst into the art scene in the late 1950-х and became one of the leaders of the legendary sixties. Familiarity with the works Korzheva — difficult, but necessary experience of talking to severe, often painful themes: the tragedy of the great Patriotic war, the changes of the social and political reality at the end of the last century, the loneliness, of life's drama and suspense of what awaits man beyond it.

1990-2000-х years Gely Korzhev refused to work with state institutions in Russia and sold paintings to private collectors, especially overseas. A large collection of works by the master was able to purchase A. N. Ananyev, partner of the Tretyakov gallery, the founder of the Institute of Russian realist art. But many of the best works of this period were abroad.

Collector V. I. Nekrasov collected works Korzheva with a rare passion and interest for many years. Most of the paintings he literally "caught" the various collectors, mostly American. Thus a very important part of the heritage, the craftsmen returned to Russia.

prior To that the Museum kept a predominantly early leaf Korzheva, created in 1960-70-е years. Employees of the Gallery, taking in conjunction with the collector for that gift, focused on those periods that have previously not been represented in Museum collections in Russia. Among them are works from the series "don Quixote"; paintings from the so-called "social" series, created in the post-perestroika years — "For three" (1987), "Adam and eve A. p." (1998); paintings of biblical cycle, and the sketches for them, including such masterpieces as "Judas" (1985-1995) and "Lamentation" (1997-1999).

In the Tretyakov gallery in Krymsky Val will be a dedicated hall (n 26) especially for the artist's works, donated by Vladimir Nekrasov.
