Alec Baldwin slipped the replay instead of the original

In 2010, Baldwin approached Mary Boone with a request to contact the collector and negotiate the resale of the work to him. After a while, the gallery owner said that the collector did not object, but including the fee of the owner and the gallery, the price of "the Sea and the mirror" was already $190 000. Baldwin agreed.
And here the picture was taken. But the happiness was short-lived. Baldwin noticed that it differs from the original, and smells like new. Comparison with photographs of the original work, sold at Sotheby's, confirmed his fears: sold him a copy. However, in this author's repetition was the date "1996" and even the same number as the original work. The actor accused the gallery owner in conscious fraud.
Mary Boone said through a lawyer that Baldwin was supposed to know what to buy. "Baldwin is wrong in the fact that it is a copy@the semicolon is original and very good work Ross Bleckner", — claims lawyer galeristka. Sue the actor has not yet succeeded.
